Among U.S. veterans who use VA care, PTSD affects a much higher proportion than in the general population.&nbsp;<a href="https://www.mentalhealth.va.gov/docs/data-sheets/2024/2024-Annual-Report-Part-2-of-2_508.pdf"><span style="font-weight:700;">One study</span></a>&nbsp;found about&nbsp;<span style="font-weight:700;">23% of Veterans</span>&nbsp;experienced PTSD at some point in their lives, compared with about 7% of adults in the general population.</span></p><p></p><div><div><p style="margin-bottom:12pt;"><span style="font-size:16px;">And PTSD isn’t the only challenge. Depression and anxiety are commonly reported alongside or separate from PTSD and can be just as debilitating.</span></p><span style="font-size:16px;">Tragically, mental health struggles can also be life-threatening. The most recent VA data show that on average there are&nbsp;<a href="https://news.va.gov/137221/va-2024-suicide-prevention-annual-report/"><span style="font-weight:700;">about 17.6 veteran suicides per day</span></a>; a stark reminder of why support and early care are so important.&nbsp;</span></div></div></div>
